"The Best Halloween Ever"

Well, that is how Mason described tonight.  But that is not how Erick and I would describe tonight.  It all started out great but ended in an horrible explosion.

We first went over to Calvary Murrieta's Harvest Festival.  It is a great event and it is free!  The boys had a fantastic time.  There were Jolly Jumps everywhere and lots of games.  Erick and I were cracking up because as we were watching the boys slide down the huge blow up slides and jump in the Jolly Jumps, kids kept asking me (the VERY pregnant lady) if I was in line for the Jolly Jump!  That is a funny visual image :-)

After Calvary's Festival we went home and took our two Transformers Trick or Treating.  After their buckets were full of candy, we sat in our driveway and handed out candy to the neighbor kids.  This is when it got interesting.  So picture Erick and I sitting in our camp chairs and a big group of kids holding their bags open for candy and then we all hear Mason vomiting next to us AND then immediately Miles starts to vomit too!  The trick or treaters had the most horrified look on their faces!  Yes, I think I would too if I was them.  Boy did they get tricked!  Thankfully the vomiting stopped quickly and both the boys seemed fine.  Only about 10 minutes after all of that Mason says, "This was the best Halloween ever" and he was totally serious!

Last year Erick posted this article on loving your neighbors during Halloween and I think it is worth reading again.

Taekwondo Testing

Last night Mason was tested for his orange belt.  I knew he was nervous but he spoke very confidently when addressed by the instructors.  He did great and is now an orange belt!  He is very excited and continues to love karate.  Way to go Mason!

Manipulation, Hurt Feelings, and Vanity!

Damsels2
Wow!  Doesn't that sound ugly soap opera?   Well, actually it has been great :-)  Some of the Kaleo girls have been going through Martha Peace's book, Damsels In Distress.  It is a wonderful book about biblical solutions for problems women face.   Nickie has been doing a fantastic job leading the discussion.  She has great enthusiasm and a real gift for leading the group.  Last week we discussed the topics of manipulation, hurt feelings, and vanity.  The meeting before we tackled gossip, slander, and idolatrous emotional attachments.  Ouch!  It is painfully convicting, but it is so good!  The book is full of scriptures and you are constantly encouraged to put off the sinful behavior or thoughts and put on a God glorifying attitude and actions!  So aren't you interested in what the next discussion is on?  Come and join us next Tuesday or at least go read the book!

What do you get when you leave three 4 year old boys alone upstairs?

... you get an "indoor sand box".  What is that you might be asking?  Well... it is when the kitty litter box becomes a "sand box" for all their action figures!  I really wish I would have taken a picture.  Just take my word that it was unbelievable.  At first I was a bit horrified and then all I could do was laugh.  Never a dull moment with boys.

You know you are very pregnant when....

Natasha pregnant with Ellie

I was sitting on the floor and I needed something in the the other room and it was just easier to scoot on the floor on my butt instead of trying to pull myself up!

Damsels In Distress

Well I am hoping to be on the road to recovery now.  I finally realized that I might need the big guns to fight these unwanted germs so I got some antibiotics yesterday from the doctor.  Hopefully CobbSalad will get up and running again.

Anyways,

We've Been Gnomed

We've Been Gnomed

I went out to get our newspaper this morning and this is what our yard looked like!  It was covered with photos of a Gnome!  Miles said "This is the silliest thing I have ever seen".  Does anyone recognize the handwriting on the sign?  We need to find out where the Gnome was purchased  :-)  Miles wants a blue one for his birthday.

Lauren, me and Monique.  We are are all expecting to have our babies soon!

I am so thankful for all the wonderful friends and family God has placed in my life.  You are all such a blessing.  Thank you for the wonderful baby shower!  I had a great time.  After 6 years of boy stuff I am VERY excited about all the cute girly stuff.  I am looking forward to holding our precious daughter soon.  Please continue to pray for our children and Erick and I as we try to raise our children to love God above all things.  Thank you and I love you all!
