Beach Day
Ellie says, "Mom! No more pictures!"
We had the BEST time!! The kids had so much fun playing in the sand and the waves.
Playing at the Park
The boys and I went to the park earlier this week with my parents and my brother.
Ellie is scooting all over the place! Look at that determined look on her face.
The boys had fun playing with the stomp rocket.

Trader Joe's Pick Of The Week #4
These tasty little tacos remind me of Cabo. A few years ago, Erick and I stayed there at the nicest hotel for a Veterinary conference and they would give us free appetizers like this at night :-)

Miles is 5!!!
We had a little party for Miles this weekend. I can't believe he is 5! He had a great time (and so did we)!
These are always great entertainment for the kids. This was a great invention!
Mason is teaching Miles to be a great Lego Master.
According to the boys, a party is not a party unless there is a pinata. Here is Rocco giving it a beating.
Jake was a big hit with the kids. He made balloon animals and light sabers.
Ok, I am not going into the business of cake decorating :-) I should have had mom do it!
Happy Birthday Miles! We love you so much!! I love your cuddles and your sweet smile!

Sea World With the Cobbs
We had a fun day yesterday with Erick's youngest brother, his wife and their kids at Sea World.
The Twins. These precious babies are now a year old! Praise God for their good health and the strength He has given their parents to make it through this difficult first year!

Park It Up
I took the kiddos to the park today to burn off some excess energy and distract Mason. He misses school. He keeps asking me to quiz him with math problems.
In this picture above, I love the contrast in both their faces and their hands.
And a trip to the park is never complete without some drama. No he is not hurt. He just hates to lose a race.
But 3 minutes later they are best friends again. They are helping each other up the hill that they fell down while trying to escape from a friendly itsy bitsy weenier dog named "Pico".
He looks older every time I look at him!

Trader Joe's Pick Of The Week #3
Maui Beef with Thai Jasmine Rice
Yummy red meat...
Mix a little of this with it and throw it in the slow cooker on low for 3-4 hours...
This rice is very tasty. A perfect match with the Maui beef.
Yum. That is actually zucchini. I know they kind of looks like pickles in the picture.
Maui sounds very nice right now :-) My sister in-law just landed in Hawaii for 5 weeks!!!

Wesley is 6!
We celebrated my nephew's 6th birthday today. He had an "Army" party. The boys always have a great time when they are together. It is fun having them all so close in age.
The first thing they do when they get to grandma's is go dig in the dirt.
Pin the army tank on the target.
My mom made an army tank cake with Oreos and black licorice. Look at Miles' cute face
Happy Birthday, Wesley! We love you.

Trader Joe's Pick Of The Week #2
Cobbs like Trader Joe's. Trader Joe's is #15 on Stuff Cobbs Like. I am tossing a new category in to Cobb Salad called "Trader Joe's Pick Of The Week". I made an initial entry last summer (Beans Are Back) but now I plan to make more frequent posts for this category. Feel free to share your favorites too!
This is probably bad form to post this right after the last post. Sorry.

Welch, "Eating Disorders: The Quest for Thinness"
"In this article,
Ed Welch describes how easy it is, in a weight-conscious world that
also uses food for comfort, to take the small steps that lead to a full
blown eating disorder. He gives a road map for dealing with this
difficult problem that includes understanding the thoughts and emotions
that trigger destructive eating habits and then encouraging those who
struggle with food addictions to take the big step of trusting God,
instead of food rules and rituals."
In addition to the article, you can also order the fuller booklet (for $2.71), upon which the article is based.

These biblical counseling booklets are very helpful. There is a whole series of them on various topics. They are very inexpensive and worth your time and money. If you go to Kaleo we often have them available on our free resource table. -Tasha
