I never thought Miles would love Ellie as much as he does.  It is so sweet!!!!  And Ellie thinks Miles is awesome.  She lights up whenever she sees him.  He makes her laugh better than anyone.  So cute!!

Paper Chains

Tell me why we live here again?  I can't seem to remember!  I think I have a medical intolerance to this horrible heat (ha ha).  At least I am not living in Yuma where it is 95 degrees at 9:30 PM!  So with all this inclement weather (that is what they call days like this at the boy's school) we are not wanting to leave the air conditioned house.  This weekend the kids made these incredibly simple paper chains from all the scrapbooking paper that I will probably never use.  They are so easy yet it kept the kids busy for hours!  They ended up hanging them from the top bunk to make a curtain.  Lots of fun for the boys.  BTW:  use a glue stick not glue from a bottle, dries a lot faster.

First Day Of School '09

Today Miles started Kindergarten and Mason started 2nd grade!!!  Mason loves school and it was no problem getting him excited for school.  Miles is a different story :-)  He is a little tougher to convince.  This morning he was actually very excited to go to kindergarten.  He was running around the house with his backpack on and was asking when we could go.  But as soon as we got to the gates of the kindergarten area, he froze and said he was scared.  Then the crying and screaming started!  Thankfully Erick was there!  The teacher's aid had to pry Miles off Erick   He was crying when we all left  :-(  But we have seen all this before.  I went to pick him up at noon (thankfully his class is just half days).  Miles had decided to have a good day after all!  He was all smiles!  He told me all the cool stuff they did.  There was no talk about crying either (he always tells on himself).  Hopefully he will remember the good part of the day when he goes back tomorrow!

 

 

 

Happy Birthday Mom!

I am blessed to have such a wonderful mom.  I love you mom!!  She is
always thinking of others and how she can serve them.  She is a great
example of hospitality  :-)  The kids love her a ton!  She and papa hid
buried treasure in the dirt and the boys had a blast digging for hidden
treasures.  Of course I left the battery to the good camera at home in
the charger...  But thankfully I had my little spare :-)

I can't believe he is 7!!!  He has grown up so much this year.  I can't stand it!  He is going to be in college before I know it!  Mason is an amazing kid.  He is always thinking of others first.  He is super friendly, enthusiastic, has a great attitude, desires to know more about God, very generous, tenderhearted, compassionate, and joyful.  I love you, Mason.  Happy birthday!!!
