"I'm NEVER EVER going to race with him again. He ALWAYS wins". - Miles
Miles... happy again.

Too Cute!
Stuff Cobbs Like #27: Pandora Radio
The Cobbs like Pandora Internet Radio. You can create your own radio stations. All you do is type in a name of a band that you like and they find similar sounding bands and then they play them continuously for you. If you want you can tailor the station even more by voting if you like or dislike a particular song they pick. You can create a bunch of different stations and next time you log in it will be saved for you. Oh, did I tell you it is free too! Go check it out www.pandora.com

Jackson's 7th Birthday Party
The neighbor boy had the ultimate 7 year old birthday party today. There was a jolly jump and a Nerf gun war. Melissa even made forts out of giant cardboard boxes for the kids to hide in. The kids had a blast!
Mason and Jackson (the birthday boy).

What Do Daddies Do?
Erick asked the boys today, "What are daddies supposed to do?" Mason said, "They are to protect, provide, and lead their family". Good answer!
Stuff Cobbs Like #26: The Murrieta Police
This is a picture from 2007 at a community event.
Mason's school started up this week after having winter break. Every day this week the police have been patrolling in front of his school and pulling over individuals who are breaking the speed limit. I love how the the Murrieta police are so visible in our community. I think it is great that Murrieta has a "gang task force". Have you seen them? They look intimidating, I wouldn't want to be a criminal in this city. I might just be naive but I didn't even know we had gangs in Murrieta. Well, high five to the men and women of the Murrieta police department for being so proactive in keeping Murrieta safe!

My Top 5 for 2008
Here are my top 5 music albums for 2008. I changed the rules from my post last year. This year they were not necessarily all released in 2008, but they were albums that I enjoyed the most last year.
1. Radiohead: In Rainbows. Erick saw them in concert last year.
2. Calexico: Carried To Dust
3. Coldplay: Viva La Vida
4. The OaKs: Songs For Waiting
5. U2: How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb. I never get tired of them. I am looking forward to their new release in March.

Read The Whole Bible In 2009
A few days ago Erick asked if I wanted to join him in reading through the whole bible in 2009. I gave him an apathetic uncommitted response because my past history with sticking to these reading plans have been poor. I would get a few days behind and then it would seem overwhelming to catch up. Well... yesterday Erick told me that I was going to do it :-) So far it is day three and I am on schedule still and have a optimistic attitude that I will stick with it. I have a nice quite 30-60 minutes to read each morning at 3 AM when Ellie wants to eat. And yesterday I read about the creation of earth, Adam and Eve, and Noah while getting a pedicure. A group from Kaleo has committed to read along with us. Oh come on... you can do it too! Erick even started an email group if you want to discuss what we read. If anyone else wants to join, here are a few cool links to help get you started.
The chronological bible reading plan.
Also there is a very cool link that you can get the reading emailed to you each day.
