This was such a great treat! We walked down to the beach and looked out and there were about 6 dolphins swimming with the surfers. The dolphins were SO CLOSE! The lady on the kayak and the lady surfing said the the dolphins just kept poking their heads up and looking at them! The dolphins were hanging out there for at least an hour. They seemed to like watching the people.

Holly, Was Preston serious?! That is so cool! They are so friendly and curious. They looked like they wanted to play with the surfers. At one point a dolphin started surfing a wave right next to one of the surfers!
ReplyDeleteMom, The lady kayaking thought they were sharks at first too. All she saw at first was a bunch of fins swimming at her. One of the women said that she has seen dolphins out there a lot but never have the dolphins come so close and just hung around them for so long.
ReplyDeleteOkay so if it would've been me in the picture with those dolphins, you would be seeing my panicked face because I would be swimming with all of my might to get to the shore where y'all were in safety and definitely NOT the back of my head still hanging out there with WILD ANIMALS! No thank you- that surfer is CRAZY! Anyway, my favorite picture is definitely the Baby Ellie pic! It's really sweet! Can't wait to meet her! :)
