I found this recipe on the Tasty Kitchen website. It was yummy and a bit spicy. I think I might have added a little too much chili powder or maybe it was the 1/2 cup of diced jalapeno peppers but it was still great. I improvised and added some extra stuff (diced potatoes) and deleted stuff (sour cream). I couldn't wait to slurp it down and I forgot to take a picture so I had to pour an extra bowl after we ate just for the picture :-) I ran out of time and didn't get to make the tortilla strips so I guess it isn't technically tortilla soup. I have been so eager to make soup. So as soon as it was no longer 108 degrees out, I decided to go for it! Delicious!
This sounds so yummy! It has been really cold here the past couple of evenings and soup sounds soooo good! How is Masons Cough doing with the weather change? Macie's has been really bad with the chill in the air, we are now using her breathing machine every 4 hrs.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah I love soup on cold nights! Mason hasn't had a problem with coughing since the last time we saw you. Sorry Macie is having a hard time. That is tough to see your babies like that. I love seeing your pictures of them on FB. Your whole family is adorable.
