It had been a couple of years since we had been to Oak Glen. I am so glad we went. We had so much fun and want to go back again soon!
These two are the best friends. Aren't they sweet?!! This is at Riley Farms. I want to go back and eat at their BBQ restaurant sometime. There was a lot to do here. The whole area was colonial style, very cute. Everyone was dressed up in costumes. There was tomahawk throwing, archery, berry picking, pumpkin picking, hay rides, bakery and live music. Fun place.
I love these ones of Ellie and the tiny pumpkin! She just wanted to eat it up like an apple!!We also stopped at Snow-Line Orchards. Next time we definitely want to eat up some of those mini cider doughnuts. The line was over an hour long today!! But boythey smelled so good!!
This was at our last stop (Oak Tree Village, I think). We had some delicious apple pie and ice cream. As soon as we sat down to eat it the BEES came and attacked the pie and ice cream. It was crazy!!!! We got up and moved to another location and within 3 minutes the bees were back!! They were getting stuck in the ice cream an we had to scoop them out and fling them on the ground. They were all over Ellie too. Eventually the bees won and we gave up. I didn't want the kids to get stung. Other than the bees it was a GREAT day. Miles had an exceptional day too!! There were at least three times where typically he would have lost his cool in the past but he remained calm. I almost lost it with the bees but he held it together!! We hope to go back soon.
We were just talking about what day we should go up there! We like to go when it's cold to really enjoy the Hot Cider:)
